Silver Lining

Out walking this morning i saw a fiercely grey cloud with a brilliant light around it's edge-Of course; 'Every cloud has a silver lining'

There's hope! Dark clouds (difficult times) may block out the sun for a while..but the silver lining brings the glimmer of a brighter day!

We moan about the grey clouds though don't we...my mum who is outstanding at getting the washing done, always has one eye on the weather!

A friend encouraged me when skies are grey, to claim God's promises..declaring to my circumstances who God is, rather than being overwhelmed by them...turning it around (Isaiah 40:27&28): My way is not hidden from the Lord...My cause is regarded by God...Knowing the greatness of who He is!

POST NOTE: In the mailbox the day after this entry: a card from a friend with a picture of a silver lined cloud on the front! I love it when that happens (It's been a number of times lately!)...I rest secure knowing Gods got it all under control!

Very true!
How odd, yesterday as I was driving I saw the most amazing cloud formation and was talking with Olivia about the silver lining .... about how it was like a promise of something so much better!!
Then a verse as I was reading this morning and thought of you - Isaiah 64 ....from 2nd part of vs 4 and first part of vs5..... He WILL act on your behalf, just keep waiting on Him :).
